Cops nab eight shoplifters in East Kilbride during festive crime crackdown

High visibility police patrols were carried out in East Kilbride over the festive period as part of a crackdown on crimes of dishonesty and anti-social behaviour.Officers visited 45 licenced premises and detected offences including shoplifting, vandalism and possession of drugs.Police Scotland's Festive Action Plan launched on December 12 and ran till January 2.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
