Atlanta Pride has launched its newest philanthropic initiative, Pride Across the Peach State. The grant program will provide funding of up to $5,000 to support local Pride organizations in hosting festivals and events that promote LGBTQ arts, culture, history, and music, as well as those that facilitate community connection and raise awareness of LGBTQ issues.

Designed to uplift and support local Pride organizations throughout Georgia, this grant program aims to bolster community-building efforts and promote inclusion across the state. “These organizations embody the ‘grassroots’ of our community,” Atlanta Pride’s website reads. “Especially in the current political and cultural climate that is increasingly hostile to LGBTQ people, local Pride organizations need resources to elevate and sustain the vitally important work they do with and for their local communities.” “We believe in the power of community and the importance of supporting local initiatives,”Chris McCain, Executive Director of Atlanta Pride, said in a press release. “Pride Across the Peach State reflects our organization’s dedication to fostering connections, celebrating diversity, and combatting discrimination across Georgia.” Applications for the Pride Across the Peach State are now open and will be accepted until April 1, and grant recipients will be announced in May 2024.

To apply, you must be an organization based in the State of Georgia that is a registered 501(c)(3) organization (or has a fiscal sponsor) and serves the LGBTQ community.

Atlanta Pride will prioritize funding for organizations with annual budgets of $100,000 or less. Review the full RFP for detailed criteria. Timeline March 1, 2024- Application portal opens for Letter of Inquiry March
