A woman has been hauled to court and ordered to pay £1,000 over her dog's 'excessive barking'. Susana Johnston, 46, was found to be continuing to allow her dog to bark despite being served with a noise abatement notice, Wales Online reports.
The barking was 'excessive and unreasonable', an investigation by environmental health officers found. The noise from the animal was having a detrimental impact on Johnston's neighbours, in Cwmbran in South Wales, and was affecting their sleep and right to peaceful enjoyment of their property.
Johnston was also found to have failed to take reasonable steps to prevent this and when questioned by officers, was unable to provide satisfactory reasons for the disturbances.
