A family who booked their first holiday in 11 years at a dream villa in Spain say they were 'scammed' after they showed up to find the villa didn't exist.
Neil Bray, 42, rented the holiday home in Alicante, Spain, for his family of six after seeing it advertised online. The dad-of-four spotted the four-bed villa with a swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and plenty of outdoor space listed for just €1,800 on a Spain holiday rentals group.
After reaching out and having a phone call with the owner, Neil paid a €180 deposit , and was told to pay the rest on arrival.
But when nobody came to collect them at the airport, the family realised they had been scammed.
