Terrified Scots students discover massive snake slithering across kitchen floor
dailyrecord.co.ukThree undergraduate students were left horrified after finding a five-foot-long snake in their Edinburgh flat.The women, Alula Brooke, Asha Sylvester and Iona May Durbin, who are studying at the at the Edinburgh College of Art, were sitting at their kitchen table when Alula felt something cool touch her hand.
She glanced down and to her shock it was an enormous black and white reptile.The trio immediately called the Scottish SPCA, only to find that the organisation was closed for the night.
After posting about the situation on a Facebook group, a veterinary medicine student from the University of Edinburgh messaged them and arranged to come and capture the creature, reports Edinburgh Live.Alula said: “I felt like I was going to be sick, like physically sick.
I feel so weird, because obviously, in Edinburgh, it's quite a safe place. I’d never, ever think that there would be a snake in my flat, but there was."Their kitchen table has a compartment inside with a cavity space where the snake was hidden.Alula continued: “I think it was probably a bit curious, because we were sitting at the kitchen table and that's how it made its appearance.
