‘Stunning’ canalside pub reopens under new owners just months after closing

A popular canalside pub in Sale which closed at the start of the year has reopened under new ownership to the delight of locals.

The Bridge Pub and Dining closed in January after owners Lisa Kettle and Danielle Condron, who had run the venue since 2016, announced the ‘very hard decision during these difficult times’.

The couple also ran No 1 Canal Street in Manchester’s Gay Village, which closed at the same time. The venue on Dane Road, which overlooks the Bridgewater canal, has reopened today (April 6) under the ownership of JW Lees and has been renamed The Bridge Inn. An outdoor pizza oven will make pizzas fresh to order, with a selection of vegan and vegetarian options, whilst the pub will also offer brunch, evening and Sunday roast menus and an array of JW Lees cask ales on tap.
