Last-minute ticket prices to see U2 at Las Vegas’ Sphere are dropping

U2 at Las Vegas’ Sphere on Jan. 26-27 started at $737 before fees on Vivid Seats. Now, just six days later, our team found seats going for as low as $420 before fees. While still rather expensive, that’s a whopping $317 (!) in savings just for practicing patience.Given the show’s impressive bona fides; that’s a steal.“The term immersive doesn’t give this production its due justice,” the New York Post wrote in a glowing review of the show.

Pink has a new album — and it’s all about ‘low-level trauma’
“Trustfall,” and the singer says that making the LP helped her cope with own crisis of faith.“In order to be a human being in this world today, it requires a lot of trust, like just to … drop your kids off at school and participate in elections and have an opinion,” Pink said at an album release party held 101 floors up in the sky at the Edge overlooking Manhattan.“ ‘Trustfall’ is sort of [about] two things … I feel like we’re falling backwards, and the ground is uncertain. But it’s also that freedom and letting go, trusting and having faith in the universe that it’s going to take care of you.”And the 43-year-old mother of two — daughter Willow, 11, and son Jameson, 5 — takes comfort in the fact that “I know if my kids had the muscles, they would catch me.”Making “Trustfall” tunes such as first single “Never Gonna Not Dance Again” — which Pink performed on roller skates to open the American Music Awards last November —  helped the artist deal with her issues during the pandemic.“I wrote ‘Never Gonna Not Dance Again’ because I felt like the world was ending,” said Pink, who also performed acoustic renditions of new tunes “When I Get There” and “Trustfall” at the event, where she was interviewed by Peloton star Cody Rigsby.“I’m not wasting any more time.

U2’s Bono and The Edge are reportedly writing music for a Jim Sheridan biopic
U2‘s Bono and The Edge are reportedly working on new music for North Star, an upcoming biopic about the director Jim Sheridan.Sheridan, who is best known for such films as My Left Foot and In The Name Of The Father, will direct the semi-autobiographical feature, which will tell the story of the director’s early life in Ireland in the early 1960s.North Star is described as “the coming-of-age story of 17-year-old Sheamie Sheridan, who lives with his rough-around-the-edges father and younger brother Frankie”.“A journey into the heart and soul of a family, Sheamie finds his world turned upside down when a teenage orphan moves in to live with them, revealing the deeper and more complicated problems Sheamie has with his dad; secrets that now threaten to tear the family apart.”Variety reports that Bono and The Edge are “in discussions to compose original music” for Sheridan’s North Star, which is being produced by Spinning Gold director Timothy Scott Bogart. The U2 musicians are in talks to write and perform the original song ‘North Star’ in addition to collaborating on the score.Shooting on North Star is set to begin in early 2023 on location in Ireland.Bono, meanwhile, will publish his memoir Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story in November. The book is set to span the singer’s career, “from his early days growing up in Dublin, including the sudden loss of his mother when he was 14, to U2’s unlikely journey to become one of the world’s most influential rock bands, to his 20 years of activism dedicated to the fight against AIDS and extreme poverty”.

U2’s Bono, The Edge perform in Kyiv subway station in ‘show of solidarity’ with Ukraine
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The superstars performed such U2 classics as “With or Without You” and “Angel of Harlem” along with a cover of Ben E. King’s “Stand by Me” — although they changed the lyrics to “Stand by Ukraine.”“President Zelensky invited us to perform in Kyiv as a show of solidarity with the Ukrainian people and so that’s what we’ve come to do,” the band tweeted from its official account in a message signed by Bono and The Edge — who played acoustic guitar for the makeshift subway concert. The U2 frontmen apparently chose to perform in the central Kyiv subway station because Ukraine’s transit stations have become de facto bomb shelters for residents to hide from Russian attacks. Videos on social media captured the moving event in the Eastern European country’s capital city.Bono and The Edge were accompanied for part of the performance by the Ukrainian band Antytila, whose member Taras Topolia joined the country’s military to fight off the Russians and can be seen singing in his military fatigues. Antytila recently collaborated with Ed Sheehan to raise money for the Ukrainian war effort. The U2 performance comes a month after Zelensky made a special address at the Grammys urging US musicians to use their platforms and talents to “tell the truth about” the war.“Fill the silence with your music!” Zelensky said at the time.
