Priyanka Chopra Jonas is speaking out about going through a “dark” time in her life after a surgery went wrong.

Naman Ramachandran Bollywood star Sunny Deol is basking in the blockbuster success of “Gadar 2,” which is in the process of breaking Indian box office records. Written by Shaktimaan Talwar and directed by Anil Sharma, “Gadar 2” is a sequel to 2001 smash hit “Gadar,” which was set after the partition of the subcontinent into India and Pakistan in the 1947-54 period. It revolved around the adventures of Tara Singh (Deol) and Sakeena (Ameesha Patel), and there was plenty of action set in Pakistan.

Naman Ramachandran Zee Studios blockbuster “Gadar 2,” headlined by Sunny Deol, could get a third part and a spinoff, provided the story is right. The film is already amongst the highest Indian grossers of the year with $45 million globally in just seven days of release. Written by Shaktimaan Singh and directed by Anil Sharma, “Gadar 2” is a sequel to 2001 smash hit “Gadar,” which was set in the period after the partition of the subcontinent into India and Pakistan in the 1947-54.

Led by Rajinikanth-starrer Jailer and Anil Sharma’s Gadar 2, box office in India reached record-breaking numbers this weekend. According to the Producers Guild of India and Multiplex Association of India, the August 11-13 frame was the busiest single weekend since the beginning of the pandemic. What’s more, across three days, ticket sales hit more than 390 crore ($47M), a new all-time theatrical gross record for the biggest combined weekend in history.

Numbers released by the Multiplex Association of India and the Producers Guild of India reveal that the Aug. 11-13 weekend was the busiest weekend post re-opening after pandemic shut downs with 21 million admissions, which is also the highest combined admissions record in the last 10 years.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas said she fell into a "deep, deep depression" at the beginning of her acting career after doctors botched a routine surgery on her nose, leaving it marred.  "It was a dark phase," the "Citadel" actress told Howard Stern on his SiriusXM radio show Tuesday, adding that she lost three acting jobs over it.  She said she had gone under the knife to get a simple polyp in her nose removed but "this thing happens, and my face looks completely different, and I went into a deep, deep depression."  She wrote in her 2021 memoir "Unfinished," according to People magazine, "While shaving off the polyp, the doctor also accidentally shaved the bridge of my nose and the bridge collapsed. When it was time to remove the bandages and the condition of my nose was revealed, Mom and I were horrified.

She claims the surgeon accidentally shaved the bridge of her nose and caused it to collapse — leading her to be fired from three movies.She feared her acting career was “over before it started.”“This thing happens, and my face looks completely different, and I went into a deep, deep depression,” added Chopra, who said she dreaded leaving the house.Her father, who is a doctor, eventually coaxed Chopra into a surgical correction — despite her fears.She was able to “build back [her] confidence.”She also credited Bollywood film director Anil Sharma for giving her work.“He, while the tide was against me, said, ‘It will be a small part, but give it your all.’ And I did,'” Chopra explained.This isn’t the first time the actress has gotten candid about the surgery.In her 2021 memoir “Unfinished,” she recalled thinking her decimated self-esteem would never “recover from the blow.”She said she was encouraged to get more cosmetic procedures to boost her career.She told of a director/producer making her spin around so he could get a good look at her features.“He stared at me long and hard, assessing me, and then suggested that I get a boob job, fix my jaw, and add a little more cushioning to my butt,” she wrote in her book.
