English Premier League side Sheffield United have signed striker Ryan One from Hamilton Accies for a six-figure sum. And Lanarkshire Live Sport can reveal the deal was completed last night in a move brokered by the club's new owner Serif Zengen.

It is understood a derisory initial deal for the player was rejected earlier in the week, but Accies fought their corner and secured a substantially better package last night for their academy product.A deal was agreed which includes significant add ons for the club.Sheffield United invited 17-year-old Ryan - the son of former Livingston striker Armand - for a trial earlier in the week and then invited his family to the club yesterday morning for a tour of Brammell Lane and the club's facilities.Personal terms were agreed last night just before the 11pm deadline in England.Accies are understood to disappointed to see the teen talent leave, but did not want to stand in his way of a big move. The 17-year-old burst onto the scene last term, notably scoring in the win over Queen of the South that sealed Hamilton's place in the SPFL Trust Trophy they went on to win in March. He has started this season impressively, scoring twice in his last three games in League One, and will now pursue a career down south. He now joins a long line of academy products to move down south, following in the footsteps of players such as James McCarthy, James McArthur and Greg Docherty.A statement from Accies this morning read: "We can confirm that 17 year old Ryan One completed a move to Sheffield Utd late last night."Ryan had scored 4 times in 35 appearances s for us and had interest from a few clubs."He had been with us in academy since he was 10.
