The parents of a Scots whizz kid say they couldn't be prouder after he won gold in two mathematics competitions, even beating those in an older age category.Azhaf Ejaz, 11, snared two top prizes while he was studying at St Monica's Primary school in Pollok.
He even competed in a challenge only meant for S1 and S2 students.The youngster, who is now a pupil at Paisley Grammar school, won gold at an event at Strathclyde University in June after answering 12 difficult questions over the course of a year for a Scottish Mathematical Council competition.
Azhaf also took part in The United Kingdom Mathematics Trust's (UKMT) junior maths challenge, answering 25 multiple choice questions in one hour, Glasgow Live reports.
His parents are overjoyed by Ashaf's success and can't wait to see what his future will bring. Dad, Ejaz, 48, said: "Azhaf's passion for mathematics began right from the beginning of P1.
