Scots Tipping Point contestant narrowly misses out on jackpot as viewers notice 'soft spot'

Ben Shephard was back hosting the popular quiz show on ITV on Tuesday night, as three hopefuls battled it out against the Tipping Point machine in the hopes of bagging thousands.One of those looking to rake in cash was Cassi, a restaurant manager from Dundee, who got off to a strong start, correctly identifying the celebrity couple 'Benifer' as Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez.Retired civil servant Paul and Lisa a full-time carer also joined Cassie in the gameshow, as Paul stormed ahead at the start of the game securing £350 and a luxury overnight stay.Cassi was hot on his tail, however, as she scored a healthy £450 to take the lead.

Lisa eventually caught up with the pair but it was Paul who got the final £50 of the round, taking his winnings up to £500 and putting him just ahead of Cassi.In the second round Cassi and the others were given 45 seconds to answer as many questions correctly as they could, gaining a counter to use for each correctly answered question.

Luck was on her side as she got an extra £450 in the bag, securing her place in the next round with a cool £900 collected.And it was former civil servant Paul who joined her in the head-to-head round, following a sudden death win over Lisa.

Although Cassi seemed to be doing well, despite a couple of passes, she was caught out when one of her coins was left balancing on the edge of the shelf without dropping over.
