Ryanair issues travel warning as UK hit by rain and strong winds

It comes as the Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings for rain covering several areas across the country with strong winds forecast today and overnight into Wednesday.
Passengers travelling with Ryanair have been urged to check with the airline’s app before travelling to the airport to make sure that their flight is going ahead.
In a statement on its website the airline said: “Affected passengers will be notified and any passengers travelling to/from the UK today, Tuesday 19 September, should check their Ryanair app for flight updates before travelling to the airport. “We regret any inconvenience caused to passengers by these high winds which are outside of Ryanair's control and affect all airlines operating to/from the UK today, Tuesday 19 September.” Currently there are yellow weather warnings in place for rain today (September 19) and tomorrow for the north west, Wales, and areas in Scotland, while forecasters have predicted windy conditions throughout Tuesday. Windy with a risk of coastal gales.” The Met Office said that it would “remain windy” overnight. It added that by Wednesday conditions would improve, with “winds slowly easing for most”.
