Rihanna steps down as CEO of Savage X Fenty after five years as she announces replacement

Rihanna has stepped down as the CEO of Savage X Fenty.The 35 year old Umbrella singer has announced that she will be stepping down four months after revealing she was expecting her second child with A$AP Rocky.

Rihanna founded the lingerie brand back in 2018 and has been the CEO up until her announcement in a statement which was released by Vogue Business today. "It's been beautiful to see our vision for Savage X Fenty impact the industry at such an incredible magnitude over the last five years," the global icon said. "This is just the beginning for us, and we're going to continue to expand in ways that always connect with the consumer," she continued.

Rihanna went on to reveal that on June 26 former CEO of Anthroplogie Group, Hillary Super, would be taking over as Savage X Fenty's new Chief Executive Officer. "I'm so grateful and excited to welcome Hillary Super as our new CEO – she is a strong leader and is focused on taking the business to an even higher level," the Grammy winner gushed.

Hillary, who's also previously held leadership roles at Gap, Guess and American Eagle, said she was "thrilled" to be joining. "I'm thrilled to join the Savage X Fenty family," Hillary beamed. "The brand is a major powerhouse in the lingerie and apparel industry, and its unwavering commitment to celebrating inclusivity and fearlessness is inspiring." Rihanna, who will remain in the brand as the role of executive chairman, marked the brand's fifth anniversary by sharing a jaw-dropping photoshoot in May where she cradled her growing baby bump.
