Queen Consort Camilla tests positive for Covid, Buckingham Palace says

The Queen Consort has confirmed to have contracted Covid, according to Buckingham Palace. Earlier today, it was reported that Camilla was forced to postpone a visit to the West Midlands after experiencing cold symptoms.

She was due to visit Elmhurst Ballet School in Edgbaston, Birmingham, to celebrate its centenary. Before it was confirmed that she had coronavirus, a Buckingham Palace spokesperson said the Queen Consort was suffering from a "seasonal illness" and hoped a new date could be found for any postponed events.

However, now that it's been confirmed she has Covid, she will cancel "all of her public engagement for this week". Read more: When is next bank holiday?

Full list of all 2023 dates including extra for King's coronation A Buckingham Palace spokesperson said: "With regret, she has therefore cancelled all of her public engagements for this week and sends her sincere apologies to those who had been due to attend them." It is not the first time the Queen Consort caught Covid.
