Theatre legend forced to apologise after branding The Masked Singer contestant 'rubbish'

It takes a brave individual to appear on The Masked Singer with the potential for some rather awkward moments before your unmasking - something comedian and musical theatre performer Jason Manford learned the hard way. Jason, 42, appeared on the show's first UK series, in which he disguised himself as 'Hedgehog', and left viewers stumped, with guesses including Michael Ball, Eddie Izzard, and Alfie Boe.Theatre legend Alfie, 50, has often been guessed as various masked individuals but is yet to appear on the show. Speaking exclusively to OK!, at the National Lottery's Big Night of Musicals, Alfie revealed that he had a rather awkward interaction with Jason, amid his stint on the show.
