Pyramide Films Boards Stop-Motion Feature ‘Olivia and the Invisible Earthquake’ About a Family Evicted From Their Home (EXCLUSIVE)

Jamie Lang Pyramide Films will handle sales of the stop-motion animated feature film “Olivia and The Invisible Earthquake,” Variety has learned.

Based on Maite Carranza’s children’s novel “The Movie Of Life,” — which has sold more than 24,000 copies in Spain — the film focuses on 12-year-old Olivia.

She sees her life collapse when her family is evicted from their home. With her mother, Ingrid, and her brother, Tim, the family is forced to squat in an empty apartment in a suburban neighborhood.

To protect Tim, Olivia convinces him it’s all just a movie and they are the stars. Directed by Irene Iborra, the film was produced by Citoplasmas Stop Motion, Cornelius Films and Bígaro Films, teaming up with Vivement Lundi! (France) and Panique!
