Police Scotland says it is examining footage that appears to show plain-clothes officers trying to stop a man from filming the motorhome seized as part of the investigation into SNP finances.David Cardwell says he and pal Gary Barton were picking up some furniture from McTier's auction house in Govan when they spotted the motorhome in the car park of a Police Scotland depot - as first reported by the Record earlier this week.

David previously told how at the time police at the site were "being very secretive and weird."Now footage has emerged of police confronting the dog walker, who had pulled out his phone to film the van as it sat on the back of a recovery truck. He says two plain clothes police officers asked him to stop filming as it was a "restricted area", despite there reportedly being no signage to suggest it was off-limits.

One of the officers refused to give his name or number, and briefly flashed a warrant card when asked to show proof of his identity.Police in Scotland are generally not permitted to ask someone to stop filming if they are in a public place.

But Gary, 54, who says he filmed into the compound while standing on the street, thought he was going to be arrested. He told the Record: "Gary has a big dog we were taking for a walk and we saw a big recovery vehicle carrying this very nice, salubrious luxury motorhome inside what you could see was a police compound, because of all the police cars.
