Two men have been arrested on suspicion of making 'threats to kill' after an altercation saw a car veer off a road and into water.
There was a huge emergency services presence beside the water near the Pilsworth Fishery on Thursday afternoon (April 27) after a vehicle had been driven off the road and down a grass verge.
Police said it was reported that an 'altercation' had broken out between passengers in two vehicles before the vehicle careered off Aviation Road, in Heywood. They remain in custody to be questioned. Pictures from the scene show huge emergency services presence, including fire crews and officers from Greater Manchester Police.
