Welsh TV presenter Gabby Logan may be living a happy and successful life now, but her past is marked by a heartbreaking tragedy.
The trailblazing female sports anchor, who's currently in Paris providing commentary for the 2024 Olympic Games for the BBC, had to face an unimaginable loss at a young age.
When she was just 19 years old, her younger brother Daniel tragically passed away. He collapsed while playing football in their back garden with their dad and died from hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, a condition that causes the heart muscle cells to enlarge and the walls of the heart chambers to thicken, making it difficult for the heart to hold and pump blood.
Daniel was only 15-years-old at the time. While her university friends were preoccupied with choosing accommodation or deciding which sports team to join, Gabby - who recently opened up about looking after her health on Lorraine - was grappling with more serious issues. "I was thinking, well, God, I'm dealing with this s**t every day," she revealed on the How Do You Cope?
