Olympics fans blast BBC Adam Peaty coverage with same 'painful' complaint

Viewers have blasted the BBC for what they deemed unsatisfactory coverage of the Olympic Games.During Sunday's tense competition, Team GB's Adam Peaty came agonisingly close to securing the nation's first gold medal in Paris, finishing second in the 100m men's breaststroke.

The 29-year-old swimmer, who is romancing Gordon Ramsay's daughter Holly, 24, received ample screen time during the BBC's broadcast at the Aquatics Centre.However, some disgruntled viewers felt compelled to switch to Eurosport, criticising the Beeb for an 'unfair' emphasis on Peaty, particularly when there were other sporting events taking place that deserved airtime.

There was a palpable sense of frustration among viewers over repeated video segments focusing on Peaty while other Olympians were supposedly sidelined, reports the Mirror.One irritated fan took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to express their indignation: "Thank God Eurosport have the Olympics on, least we actually get to see the sports, BBC have far too much talking.

There are other swimmers as well not just Adam Peaty. One swimming race shown pathetic from BBC." Another viewer expressed fatigue with the recurrent features on Peaty: "We've seen a dozen Adam Peaty VT's we don't need another one."Meanwhile, another commenter found the BBC's fixation with Peaty baffling, remarking sarcastically: "The BBC's obsession with Adam Peaty is incredibly weird.
