Olivia looked as stunning as ever in the look but so did Margaret, who wore the exact same dress but in black. Fans took to social media to discuss the awkward moment while others simply wondered how it was allowed to happen due to the months that celebs put into planning their dresses for the Met Gala.
One person said: "They're so brave for not going home immediately," as another added: "Omg RIP to whoever is getting fired for this." A third wrote: "The DRAMA." It is rare for stars to end up wearing the same outfit to the Met Gala due to looks being approved beforehand, but due to the theme celebrating Karl Lagerfeld, it may have happened due to many guests wearing outfits that were inspired from his creations.
