Lanarkshire swimming coach recognised for sterling service with UK parliament motion

A long serving Lanarkshire swimming coach has been recognised for her five decades of service in the UK parliament.Lanark Amateur Swimming Club head coach Karen Kelly, who has been with the club since swimming as a 10-year-old, and rose through to the post of head coach, has selflessly dedicated much of her own time to help generations of young talent.The early day Westminster motion was submitted by Lanark and Hamilton East MP Angela Crawley and reads: “This House congratulates Lanark Amateur Swimming Club head coach Karen Kelly on her 50th anniversary with the club.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
