Met Office verdict on chances of snow in Greater Manchester this week as temperatures to plummet

Temperatures across Greater Manchester are set to plummet this weekend, according to forecasters. The Met Office has predicted temperatures to dip to 9C on Friday and Saturday accompanied by a shivering night-time temperature of 3C and 2C respectively.

Temperatures will begin to fall throughout today (November 8) in the late afternoon and early evening. From 5pm, temperatures will begin to drop to 9C as the sun sets and slowly dropping all the way to 7C by 11pm.

By this point, the cold temperatures will be accompanied by light rain, however this won't last long. It adds: "Becoming dry through the morning with winds easing into the afternoon with sunny periods.

Remaining blustery around coasts with some showers developing into the evening. Rather chilly. Maximum temperature 11C." For tonight, it states: "Showers continuing overnight, some being heavy for a time in blustery winds.
