Greater Manchester's weather will turn cold this weekend

A cold snap is set to envelop Greater Manchester this weekend, with some forecasters predicting temperatures dropping below zero.

The cold spell starts in earnest tomorrow (November 24), with the mercury peaking at 7C. The BBC Weather service is forecasting lows of -2C on Friday.

The Met Office’s Friday outlook is a bit more optimistic, with sunny spells breaking up the lows of 0C it expects on Friday evening. Both services believe there will be sunny spells in the day, and it’s set to stay dry on Saturday. Things warm and wetten up on Sunday, however.
