Over the years it has become a beacon of hope for families facing childhood cancer, providing them with a much-needed break and support.Mel Graham, 48, Elderslie, RenfrewshireThe ICU nurse gave up her job of more than 20 years at Glasgow Royal Infirmary to provide medical aid in war-torn Ukraine.
She travelled to Lviv where she worked with UK-Med, a frontline aid charity providing medical teams who respond to health emergencies around the world.
