CCTV of a man police want to talk to has been released after a teen was sexually assaulted during a "despicable incident" on a bus.The victim was travelling on an Arriva bus in Liverpool on the evening of Saturday, June 10, when they were attacked.
police said. Two months on, detectives have released images of a man they believe is "vital" to their investigation.The teen reported she was sexually assaulted between getting on the bus at Queen Square, before disembarking at the city's Eaton Road.
The suspect remained onboard following the incident, that took place around 8.20pm, reports the Liverpool Echo. After examining CCTV and speaking to witnesses, police have identified a man they urgently want to trace in relation to the assault.Detective Inspector Michael Fletcher said: "Incidents such as these can cause serious distress to any victim and are totally unacceptable.
Everyone should be able to use public transport and feel safe."The victim was left shocked and understandably upset by this despicable incident and did the right thing in contacting us.
