Max Jones memorial match nets £12,000 for Kilbryde Hospice and Teenage Cancer Trust

A football fundraiser in memory of tragic East Kilbride teen Max Jones has netted nearly £12,000 for charity.The memorial match honouring the 19-year-old following his brave battle with a rare brain cancer smashed it's £10,000 target for Kilbryde Hospice and the Teenage Cancer Trust on Saturday.

Max was the youngest patient to receive palliative care at Kilbryde Hospice after being diagnosed with glioblastoma aged 17 - the same devastating cancer diagnosis, a "one in a billion" series of deadly brain tumours, that claimed the lives of both his mum and gran.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
