Ryanair issues warning to UK passengers as ‘disruption’ expected due to storms

Ryanair has warned passengers of ‘potential disruption’ to flights both arriving into and departing from the UK today due to thunderstorms.

The airline urged passengers to check the status of their flight before travelling. Currently a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms issued by the Met Office is in place from midday today until 8pm this evening.

It warns of 'thunderstorms and heavy showers causing disruption' in some areas across the Midlands, in London, East of England, South East, South West and Wales.

As well as thunderstorms, ‘large hail’ is predicted along with wind and heavy rain.
