Liev Schreiber & Bel Powley Bring First Premiere of Anne Frank Inspired Series 'A Small Light' To Amsterdam
justjared.comThe first premiere of National Geographic’s A Small Light took place in Amsterdam! The cast – Liev Schreiber, Bel Powley, Ashley Brooke, Billie Boullet, Amira Casar, Joe Cole and Laurie Kynaston – as well as several writers and directors from the show, walked the yellow carpet at Tushcinsky Theater on Monday (April 17).
A Small Light centers on Miep Gies, a Dutch woman who risked her life to shelter Anne Frank’s family from the Nazis for more than two years during World War II.
It was fitting that the first premiere was in Amsterdam, as the place where Anne Frank and her family hid was in The Secret Annex.
