Bel Powley Says She Was 'Touched Inappropriately' While Working Before the #MeToo Movement, Shares a Positive Onset Experience

She spoke about how the industry changed after the #MeToo movement highlighted inappropriate behavior in the industry. Bel also opened up about a time when she had a very good experience onset. She added that she was “too scared to say anything at the time,” explaining that it was a senior crewmember on a project. “I was too scared to rock the boat,” Bel explained. “I just avoided that person and it was fine, but what really has changed post-MeToo is you just know that you’re protected.” She continued, highlighting the importance of the movement: “At the beginning of MeToo it was weird.
For a while it was like, I feel protected because men are just f-cking scared – which was fine too – but now everything’s settled into itself.
