Lanarkshire community groups set for Big Help Out event as part of coronation

A host of good causes will be showcasing their work and aiming to gain new volunteers at a special community event as part of the coronation weekend.New Wellwynd parish church in Airdrie is running an information and recruitment day on Monday, May 8 – the additional bank holiday which follows the coronation and has been designated as The Big Help Out with a focus on community and volunteering.It will take place from 10am to noon in the church halls on Wellwynd in the town centre, and will be attended by more than a dozen local groups highlighting their work in the area.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
