ITV Emmerdale fans over the moon at character's unexpected return after three years
ok.co.ukEmmerdale fans were over the moon when DS Jason Wise, played by Neil Roberts, made a surprise return to the show on Thursday night after three years.
He first appeared on the ITV soap in 2016 and was last seen in the village in 2020. DS Wise returned to investigate the murder of Craig Reed, chatting with Kim Tate as Craig's body was found on Home Farm land.
Fans took to Twitter to express their joy at seeing DS Wise again. One fan tweeted: "DS Wise! # emmerdale!", while another posted: "DS wise is back tonight on Emmerdale!" Another viewer wrote: "V proud of @NeillyRoberts returning as DS Wise @emmerdale tonight to help solve #whokilledcraig #DSWise #emmerdale".
A different soap watcher added: "Good to see the lovely Detective back can we make him a regular?? #Emmerdale!" The return of DS Wise coincided with the reveal of Craig's killer on Thursday night.
