Emmerdale fans have been left shocked as Friday night's episode unfolded.On Thursday night's episode, flashback scenes aired revealing what happened to Craig Reed prior to his death.

Craig was found dead in a field after he was held hostage in a barn by Cain and Sam Dingle.It was soon revealed that Sam had in fact been the one to hit Craig, but he admitted he was not the one to kill him.Friday's episode saw Sam worried that the police would probe into his alibi before they came knocking on his door.

Despite Cain telling them they were together that evening, the officers soon returned and informed Sam DNA had been found, incriminating him.The discovery led to Sam panicking and confessing to the officers that he had a brawl with Craig prior to his arrest, despite the others telling him to be quiet.
