But now it seems Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) could be in danger after Tom King lashed out at her. In a flashback, Belle and Tom were seen enjoying a romantic meal before the vet proposed.
Belle turned down his offer of marriage, which led to a heated argument and violent reaction from Tom. He hit the young woman so hard, she fell and hit her head on the coffee table.
Distraught, Tom rushed to help Belle, apologising profusely and cleaning up her wound. She later forgave her boyfriend and explained to her family she turned down the proposal because it "wasn't the right time" but they remained a couple.
