The arrived for her first Met Gala in a Chanel couture bridal look from Karl Lagerfeld's 2007 collection. The sleeveless column gown features vertical paneling over the sheer silhouette, almost giving the illusion of a dress made of party streamers.
The star of the show (not including Bündchen's megawatt smile), however, is the feathered cape. The bridal look is fitting for the theme, “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.” Not only was it made by Lagerfeld himself during his tenure at Chanel from 1983 to 2019, it's an homage to the Chanel bride.
