First picture of man who died in Scots village as man charged in connection

A man who died in a Fife village has been named by police.The body of Garry Thomson was found in the Gairbrig Crescent area of Guardbridge - around three miles from St Andrews - on Wednesday evening.Police were called to the scene amid reports of a death of a 60-year-old man.

Garry was from the local area and his family are aware.A 57-year-old has been arrested and charged in connection with the death and is due to appear before Dundee Sheriff Court on Monday, 23 October.
