Fallen lamppost injures man on Scots street as he is rushed to hospital

A man has been rushed to hospital after being injured by a fallen lamppost on a Scots street. Emergency services were called to Kirklee Road, Glasgow, shortly after 4pm to reports of a man being injured.

He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.Bellshaugh Road is currently closed between Mirrlees Drive and Cleveden Drive.Photographs from the scene show the road blocked off with red and white tape, as well as police tape.

Workmen can be seen standing next to what appears to be the fallen lamppost.
