Casualty star looks unrecognisable 24 years on from leaving BBC show

Jonathan Kerrigan was a much-loved staple on TV screens in the 90s. Famed for his bleach-blonde hair, the star kicked off his career in Casualty and has gone on to work on various TV shows in America after his big breakthrough in the noughties.

Now, the fan-favourite looks worlds away from his beloved Sam Colloby character, with his his short blonde hair now replaced by a mane of dark brown waves.Kerrigan's first on-screen role came when he starred in the music video for the Chemical Brothers' 1995 single, Life Is Sweet.

One year later, the star joined Casualty and was catapulted into fame, reports the Mirror.Throughout his time on the hospital-based drama series, Jonathan featured in compelling storylines that revolved around his character's sexuality.

Memorable scenes involved Sam discovering that a female car crash victim was having an affair with his boyfriend.In 1999, after four seasons on the show, he bid farewell to the A&E department, transitioning to a quieter life in rural Yorkshire.
