Scots homes left devastated by huge fire in shocking aftermath pictures
dailyrecord.co.ukImages show the ruins of six homes completely destroyed by a horror fire in East Kilbride.Emergency services raced to Whitelee in the South Lanarkshire town after the alarm was raised at around 4pm on Friday.
Six properties were quickly evacuated as fire crews battled to control the blaze. Pictures taken last night showed flames ripping through the homes as a huge plume of black smoke billowed up into the sky.
And heartbreaking images taken this morning have now shown the true harrowing extent of the damage. The roof of the properties have completely caved in as abandoned belongings can be seen scattered around the rooms.
Some of the windows could be seen smashed while broken roof tiles lay scattered around the homes.Thankfully no one was injured as a result of the fire but the resident's homes have been completely destroyed.
