Albion Rovers boss Sandy Clark admits he is frustrated that their Lowland League fixture backlog has increased further, but says his side just need to get on with it.The Cliftonhill side are already playing catch-up in the fifth tier this season due to their involvement in the Viaplay Cup group stages in July, and after Saturday’s clash at Civil Service Strollers fell victim to the wet weather, Rovers are now as many as six games behind some sides in the division.Clark’s men have played just seven games so far, leaving them 15th in the 18-team division on 10 points and 19 points off of leaders East Kilbride, who are unbeaten after 11 games. And Clark, whose side are in South Challenge Cup action this weekend, said: “The games are mounting up now but there’s not much we can do about it.

We will just need to keep dealing with it.“We’ve got a cup game this week and another cup game in two weeks’ time as well. I’m frustrated by games being off but there’s nothing anyone can do about the schedule.

You know when you are in this league, that’s the way these games are set out, so we just have to bide our time and get on with it.“It was frustrating on Saturday but we managed to get a good training session in, which is something.“We found a facility and managed to work hard to keep people ticking over.

We will train as normal this week and be ready for Saturday.”Rovers travel to Armadale in the third round of the cup this weekend and then play familiar foes Stirling University – who they knocked out of the Scottish Cup – in league action on Tuesday night.Clark added: “Armadale will be another hard game.
