If Andrew Dallas thought he would get an easier life being out of frontline refereeing then he was made to think again after an action-packed day in Dingwall for the official.Dallas had to hang up his whistle and walk away from being the man in the middle due to the sort of hip injury that has plagued tennis superstar Andy Murray.
That contributed to Dallas, 40, being appointed, along with Greg Aitken, as Scottish football's first dedicated VARs back in August.
Son of former FIFA whistler Hugh, Dallas might have thought being in Clydesdale House VAR HQ would see see him out of the firing line.
But he was a busy man as he had to help referee David Munro with some key decisions as Celtic travelled to face Ross County for their Scottish Premiership clash.
