Coronation Street star Daniel Brocklebank has clapped back at criticism over his latest storyline after a bit of classic soap comedy was injected after some heartbreaking scenes on-screen.
During the last trip to the cobbles, viewers of the ITV soap saw Paul Foreman discover he had six to 12 months to live. Paul, who was told he had Motor Neurone Disease earlier this year, had an appointment with his speech therapist, which led to a visit with the MND nurse when his mum, Bernie Winter, started worrying about her son's cough.
After partner Billy Mayhew made his way to the hospital after being contacted by a concerned Bernie, Paul ultimately received devastating news.
