Elon Musk has revealed the new logo for Twitter as part of its major rebrand. This weekend the billionaire teased the end of the popular social media site as we know it when he tweeted: "And soon we shall bid adieu to the Twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds." The new logo which has replaced the iconic blue bird will be a white x on a black background and Twitter will soon be known as "X" under the rebrand.

The change is part of his vision to create a super app and during a conversation on the platforms Spaces, he described the move as something that "should have been done a long time ago".
On Sunday, Musk tweeted that he was looking to change Twitter's logo before sharing an image of the X projected onto the side of the company's San Francisco building.
Musk who has since changed his profile picture to the logo and added "X.com" to his bio, is looking to create an app equivalent to the popular Chinese social media app 'Wechat'.
