The Scottish zoo with 'more to do' than Edinburgh's where you can pet goats and ponies

A recent visitor to Five Sisters Zoo has praised it online, stating that that "there is so much more to see and do" than at Edinburgh Zoo.After spending a day at the zoo in West Calder in West Lothian, the impressed tourist took to TripAdvisor to write a glowing review of the zoo and its facilities.

As well as singling out the zoo's bears and "hilarious" parrot, the reviewer praised the ability to get "up close" to pet goats and ponies, as well as the zoo's go karts and gardens in the five-star writeup.

In the review, they wrote: "Absolutely love this zoo, although it’s a bit far out it’s worth the journey. There is so much more to see and do here than at Edinburgh Zoo."You are able to get up close to the animals and pet them like we did with the goats and ponies.

I loved the bears and watching them play fight was amazing and the parrot say 'come on then' in a Scottish accent was hilarious and it just seems that the animals here have much more character and are well looked after which is great to see."As well as the animals there is also go karts, trails, beautiful gardens and more and it is such a fantastic day out!"
