thefader.comHulu has shared a trailer for Cypher, an upcoming documentary on the art-rapper and FADER cover star Tierra Whack. Streaming and in theaters November 24, the Chris Moukarbel-directed film tracks Whack's ascent from the Philadelphia battle rap circuit to Grammy nominations, critical acclaim, and cult success.
A press release paints the film as an exploration of the dark side of Whack's success and visibility. "It chronicles the rapper's rise to fame and delves into a series of increasingly unsettling events that swirl around Tierra and her team-leading Tierra to question whether being seen (or watched) is a desirable and unavoidable part of fame."
