Walkers has confirmed that it has changed the recipe for one of its beloved flavours - and the news has not gone down well. Fans have suspected that the recipe for the popular Thai Sweet Chilli Sensations flavour has changed, and now the brand has confirmed on social media it has "updated" the flavour. As reported by the Mirror, the update came to light when one massive fan of the flavour took to X, formerly Twitter, to ask the company why their 'perfect' crisp had been altered: "@walkers_crisps why in God's name has the recipe for Thai Sweet Chilli sensations been changed?!
You had already created perfection in crisp form. This new recipe is not the one!" they wrote.Walkers took the time to respond to the disappointed fan to confirm it was, in fact, true.
They said: "We recently updated the recipe to give the flavour a little more punch. We're sorry to hear you're not a fan but we appreciate you letting us know what you think!"The disgruntled fan went on to say that it "tasted like chicken" - and other fans were quick to share the same thoughts, as they were also not keen on the change.
First you go and change the recipes for the original Walkers flavoured crisps which have been terrible ever since, and now you've changed SENSATIONS???
