‘The grief of losing my son never goes away, now I'm supporting other young people’

It’s safe to say that losing a child is something that no parent should ever have to go through. Sadly, Kimberley Morgan experienced the pain of losing a child in November 2021 when her son Gryff died by suicide when he was just 18 years old.

Nearly two years on from his tragic death, 41 year old Kimberley is working to raise awareness of mental health and has set up Gryff’s Mind Space to help young people to access activities such as talking therapies and massage.

Here she tells her story… “The weekend after my son Gryff died, I went with my family to the local beach in Pembrokeshire where we’d spent some of our happiest times.

Gryff loved swimming and surfing there and taking his little dog Tango for long walks. As we watched the sun setting, a dolphin suddenly appeared in the sea in front of us, the only time any of us had ever seen one there.
