A teenage firebug who torched four cars and escaped serious injury when the flames from one vehicle set his shoes alight has avoided a custodial sentence.Daniel Hotchkiss, of Craigneuk Avenue in Airdrie was placed under supervision for a year when he appeared at the town's sheriff court this week.The 18-year-old was also ordered to do 300 hours of unpaid work and faces a nine-month 7pm to 7am curfew under an electronic tagging order.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
