King Charles celebrates his 75th birthday today and he’s been inundated with well-wishes from across the globe. One of the first to lead the tributes to the monarch on his big day were the Prince and Princess of Wales who took to social media to share a slew of throwback snaps, as well as saying: “Wishing His Majesty The King a very happy 75th birthday!"The snaps included one from a ski trip to Switzerland in 2004 which features Charles and William sitting together in front of a stunning alpine background.

The official pictures show the pair looking relaxed and happy as they soak in their surroundings.Another shows the King’s first ever Trooping the Colour as monarch, which took place in June, and features Charles and Camilla with Kate and William, their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, as the royal party smile and wave at the crowds from the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

The last image is a solo shot of Charles. One thing all of the pictures have in common, as writes the Express, is that none of them feature Prince Harry. The Duke of Sussex was not on the Klosters ski trip in 2004, which Kate attended when she was William’s girlfriends.

He was also not at Trooping the Colour, because he stepped down as working royal in 2020 so is not entitled to attend. But it seems royal watchers didn’t accept Harry’s non attendance at these two events to be an excuse for him being ‘snubbed’ in the birthday pictures.
