'Suffs' Creator Shaina Taub Kicks Off Tony Awards 2024 with a Major Win!
justjared.comIt’s already a big night for the original musical Suffs! Writer, composer, and star Shaina Taub kicked off the night with a big win at the 2024 Tony Awards on Sunday (June 16) at the David H.
Koch Theater at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City. Shaina took home the award for Best Book of a Musical for writing the script of the new show, which follows Alice Paul and the American women’s suffrage movement.
She’s also nominated for Best Original Score! Also pictured is Nikki M. James, who is nominated for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical, Leigh Silverman, who is nominated for Best Direction of a Musical, as well as producers Rachel Sussman and Jill Furman, who are up for Best Musical.
